This should allow design teams who have modeled their projects in sketchup, to run a fast IES model of the building, a lot faster than before (no more tracing the building over again), and see how its performing long before the energy model by the MEP engineers is being done (often late in the process, unfortunately

Overnight Rendering Results


Here's our first overnight high-res render. We're still troubleshooting model and lighting issues, but we've at least got the sun, point lights, and cove (IES mesh) lights working here. This was rendered at the highest resolution possible and best photon-mapping option, which yields a large enough image (28 x 21 @ 100 dpi) that it could be a standalone image on our marketing boards. Best of all, the software is stable enough to run overnight with no human babysitting!
